Meet the Principal

Welcome to Humane High School! Here you’ll find numerous opportunities to learn about animal protection and make your voice heard.

I’ve seen firsthand the power that young people have in animal protection. As a seventh-grade teacher, I formed an animal protection club and led the student body in learning about the issues and taking action. My role as a teacher allowed me to inform students and teachers about dissection choice, work with our Student Council to ask the cafeteria to include more vegetarian options, and take my dog to school three days a week to help students read.

I have always had a great love for animals, but my desire to help on a larger scale began after I adopted a dog from a puppy mill. She was sick and did not live long. Her death made me realize that major changes needed to be made to protect all animals and people. While my work as an animal advocate has been more rewarding than words can describe, I have one regret. I wish I had become involved sooner. All animals—companion, farm, and wild—need human voices to protect them. This is why I am proud to be part of Humane High School. Your voice is more powerful than you may realize! It is up to you, your friends and classmates to help set the standard for future generations.

Again, welcome to Humane High School—I look forward to helping you learn about the issues affecting animals today and how you can use YOUR voice to make a difference!

Sincerely,
Ms. Stephanie Clark, MS Ed., CHES
